The curriculum in primary classes is based on five elements of nature, namely Space, Air, Water, Fire and Earth. These have far reaching significance in imparting holistic approach to learning. The knowledge is imparted through experiential learning wherein the concepts are taught through various interesting and insightful activities. This methodology heightens the students’ imagination and promotes learning through partnership. This technique allows maximum participation of students , challenges them to think for themselves, integrate the learning experiences and have a broader perspective.
In early years, children learn the various concepts through play way activities like building blocks, show and tell, storytelling, fancy dress, singing, dancing, art & craft activities, identifying letters and sounds etc. The activity area is transformed into a market place or a diwali bazaar or a snow park, a traffic park depending upon the theme being carried out in classes. The hands-on approach encourages students to learn by doing. They are actively involved in the education process. As they grow old, the focus is shifted to master the fundamental concepts and skills.
