CBSE has decided to mainstream Health and Physical Education for classes IX to XII with the aim of holistic development
of the child, leading to a well-balanced individual in all walks of life. The whole Syllabus is divided into Four Strands.
Curriculum includes the following activities:
- STRAND 1,STRAND 2: focus on games and sports under which students will be provided opportunities to choose and play any
game of their interest with in the purview of School’s infrastructure, and will also be trained in mass activities like Yoga or
PT for creating a sense of physical fitness, discipline, sportsmanship, patriotism, self sacrifice and health care.
- STRAND 3: SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action) takes learning beyond the walls of the
classroom. It gives a platform to students to get sensitized and get connected with their peers, their elders, the society, the
environment, etc. The main objective of the SEWA projects is to direct student’ mind in constructive activities with positive
outcomes through the facilitation of creative and critical thinking.
- STRAND 4: It aims at recording Health and fitness related statistics of student. It focuses on encouraging the student to attain
overall health and wellness.
Grading will be awarded on three levels as per CBSE guidelines-Learning, Proficiency, Advanced(for
Strand1,Strand2,Strand3)
