PERFORMING ARTS (MUSIC & DANCE)

At Lancer’s Convent, Performing Arts are an integral part of holistic education. Through structured training in Music and Dance, students build confidence, creativity, discipline, collaboration and stage presence. Our programme blends Indian cultural traditions with global artistic practices, ensuring every learner experiences the joy of performance and the confidence of self-expression.

MUSIC PROGRAMME

Our Music curriculum introduces students to both Indian and Western musical traditions, developing appreciation, technical skill and performance confidence.

  • Indian vocal traditions – prayers, bhajans, classical basics
  • Raga-based singing and folk songs
  • Western melody, harmony and choir singing
  • Instrumental training – Tabla, Dholak, Drum set, Conga, Octapad
  • Regular performances in assemblies and school concerts

DANCE PROGRAMME

Dance at Lancer’s allows students to express emotions, stories and ideas through movement while developing rhythm, flexibility, coordination and stage confidence.

THE STELLAR PROGRAMME

The Stellar Programme is the school’s signature Performing Arts pathway designed to ensure that every student participates, practices and performs. Through structured quarterly cycles, learners engage in music, dance, rhythm and stage presentations that build confidence, creativity and discipline.

Each cycle culminates in a performance showcase where students demonstrate growth in expression, teamwork and stage presence. From choir and percussion to dance ensembles and anchoring roles, the programme provides inclusive opportunities for every child to experience the joy of performing before an audience.
