The intelligent use of science and technology is the medium to achieve a new direction to inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning etc. Education is believed to be the changemaker and we have witnessed a paradigm shift in our education system wherein inculcating the approach of hands-on experience, critical and collaborative thinking is the need of the hour.
Atal Innovation Mission, an initiative of NITI Aayog successfully established Atal Tinkering Laboratories in schools across India to achieve the dream of skilled India and to cultivate one million children in India as neoteric Innovators. Lancer’s Convent inaugurated Atal Tinkering Lab on 23rd January, 2020 and since then, with consistent and arduous efforts, the school provides a space where students experiment, learn, develop and conceptualize different scientific ideas on diversified themes related to Zero Waste, Technothon, 3D Designing and Printing, Artificial Intelligence and many more.
We at Lancer’s, in association with Robotics Wizards, have successfully inculcated Educational Robotics in our curriculum which provides a structured course to the students wherein they program their robots to perform various operations. Students are also given opportunity to demonstrate their acquired skills in competitions like Robo-Cups. Robotics is introduced to students from as early as class IV and continues till class X.
